Are LinkedIn Notifications For Someone's Content Automatic?

Just this morning I found out, that even if a connection is "following" you, they still won't necessarily get notified about your posts. In this post I cover how to make that happen, and for those of you who are keen to learn how I get so many followers regularly, there's a bonus tip at the end! 

"Well... if they're connected with me then we're following each other, and if we're following each other than I should get notified right?" Wrong.

We used my wife's phone and found out that although we're connected on LinkedIn, neither was she "following" me, and only after she "followed" me, did the next step come about! 

Additional Tip: To follow someone, after you're connected, there are 3 ways you could do this depending on the phone you're using, or whether you're using a phone or a computer, or what type of LinkedIn profile the person has (Premium, Creator Mode, Etc...)

1. Click the "More" button next to the "Message" button below their name on their profile and then hit "Follow" from the drop-down menu.
2. Click the "Follow" button next to the "Message" button below their name.
3. Click the three Grey dots next to the "Message" button below my name and then hit "Follow" from the drop-down menu.

How To Turn On LinkedIn Notifications For Someone's Content (Or Get Your Audience To)

First of all, grab a screenshot of your profile page from a friend or family member's phone or laptop, like I've done below! Remember to make sure they are following you first (use the guidelines from the step above), or the bell will not show! 



Next, send them this note with the image, if you're messaging them, or otherwise, post it as the description if you're posting this image on your socials! 

"Once you're following me
(click the "More" button next to the "Message" button below my name on my profile and then hit "Follow" from the drop-down menu
OR click the "Follow" button next to the "Message" button below my name
OR click the three Grey dots next to the "Message" button below my name and then hit "Follow" from the drop-down menu)

... please click this white bell with the grey outline at the top right of my profile, and after you click it, it should become Grey. That will allow you to get my posts in your notifications and feed. Do note, the bell only becomes visible after you're following me."
