What Your Career Path Will Be
"What Is A Good Career Path For Me?"
This is a question we hear often. This question makes a lot of people who are working on self-discovery exercises wonder different things. I believe I've found the answer.
I've even heard things like, "Don't follow your dreams, follow your effort." Mark Cuban once said that on a Shark Tank episode. There's validity in that, but that's more of a method. This post is for people with doubts. Let me fix that for you in one deft move.
"What Will My Career Path Be?"
Your career will not necessarily be something that you love the most. Your career(s) will be something that you can continue doing for an amount of time. Time builds skills. Then applying those skills over time leads to progress AND more skills. And so on, it continues. If you stop though, it stops.
So really, you need to see what you can continue doing happily, continuously, for years on end. Not what you like consuming (for example, "I love to listen to music."), but what you can create or work on yourself, for others (the ones who pay you and/or your audience).
