A Trial About Humans β Reflections from the joint trial of Ms. Iris Koh, Dr. Jipson Quah & Mr. Thomas Chua
Today, 30th July, I visited the State Courts in Singapore to watch the ongoing proceedings for a trial involving Ms. Iris Koh, Mr. Jipson Quah and Mr. Thomas Chua, with a cousin who's visiting from Australia.
We walked through a set of doors and Mr. Raymond Ng greeted us with a "Hello" and a smile. He was speaking with a couple of gentlemen.
Then, we walked further down the corridor to the two sets of double doors right outside the courtroom and entered, while Mr. Wee (Mr. Jipson Quah's counsel), was finishing some questioning of the witness on the stand.
Shortly after, Mr. Chua concluded his own cross-examination of the witness and there was a brief recess of 20 minutes or so.
As we all took a bow and filed out of the courtroom, Mr. Jipson came up to me and shook mine and my cousin's hand, I introduced them and we exchanged a few brief words while walking out.
As we walked out further, Ms. Iris joined us (the group walking towards the elevator) from behind, and I introduced my cousin to her as well and they spoke for a bit.
We then went to the cafe below and spoke a little more. I didn't personally meet Mr. Chua today but he smiles at me often, when I've visited court on earlier dates.
The Judge, Mr. Paul Quan, was also rather nurturing and specific today, as usual.
I'm not sure if it's the full moon, or the fact that I'm back in court after long, or if i'm feeling generally loving towards humans since something shifted in my relationship with my parents (and I finally felt seen and heard by them after 30 years, albeit, in a small amount, but that said, a significant enough amount to shift my energy), but... I felt like this isn't a case about criminal activities, persecution or even some large evil that has befallen mankind.
By the way, these are my opinions and feelings, not legal facts.
For a while now, I've viewed this case, as with most human activities, through a human lens... and often, a metaphysical one.
If we freeze this moment in time, here's what I see in the court scene.
The Judge is doing his work, for this lifetime, going about procedures and steps as calmly, rigorously and as humanely as he seems to know how.
Mr. Jipson is sitting in the courtoom, taking it all in, nodding at moments, conferring with his counsel when appropriate. Mostly jovial and open, sometimes frowning and thinking.
Ms. Iris is sitting and listening carefully, sometimes pensive, sometimes taking notes and at other times, looking at the crowd (public).
Mr. Chua is listening to Mr. Wee question the witness(es) and sometimes nodding along wholeheartedly, while at other times, he appears to be deep in thought.
The witness, whoever they are at that day/time, appear to be very attentive, sometimes a little stressed (understandably so), and mostly co-operative to the best of their abilities.
The public, or the audience, is mostly extremely attentive and polite to each other when interactions do occur.
If we look at this positively, constructively and with empathy and grace towards all humans concerned, here's what I've realised about humanity, evolution-wise.
We are at the collective stage of evolution (at least in Singapore), where we have to conduct a meeting and gathering (or many of them), such as a court session for example, where one (or a few) humans, decide the fate of others (potentially, assuming you don't believe or think that everything in human life is already fated), after gathering a robust collection of accounts and information.
We are at a stage where, when something that was potentially (as it's not yet been ruled in court like when a case ends) done, goes against the rules set out by a few (who we elect to office and put our trust in to run the country well), that something is brought under intense, rigorous and uncompromising scrutiny by those same few. Not necessarily a bad stage or a good stage. Just a stage in our evolution as a species.
We are at the collective stage of evolution, where humans are so different from each other (despite our many similarities), that we (some of us at least) cannot immediately deduce the sequence of actual true events a human has participated in via telepathy, merely by looking at them or being in their vicinity (read more Dolores Cannon to learn more). We need trials and courtroom sessions that go into Years, still, just to figure something out. Or rather, to try to figure something out. Again, not a good or bad stage, just a stage in our evolution.
There are a few things from my observations today which I would like to implore you to look at:
- We are all human. We would be wise to not assume grandiose positions of "right" and "wrong", and "guilty" or "not guilty", at a later stage in our collective evolution, when we do reach there (all in good time). We are not there yet. I cannot speak for all humans obviously, but it seems like most modern cities and their citizens are ok with such notions, judgements and procedures, as I do not see any meaningful voices or initiatives to change them, springing up around me.
- I did not metaphysically sense a single negative stream of energy in the courtroom, from the Witness, to the Judge, to the prosecution or defence lawyers, to the accused, to the policemen on duty, to the public. It was my observation that everyone was doing their absolute best, to perform their roles, in the capacities that they believed were theirs, whether explicitly stated by the law, via their own directives from their respective religions, their practices and beliefs spiritually, or simply from the most basic place of being a human being.
- If there's one thing I've learnt from this entire trial and from listening to all the witnesses being questioned so far, it is that it is best to not rush into things. I mean, anything at all, in life. Actions from a place of calm and thoughtfulness, are powerful. The timing and setting of the events mentioned in the case so far from the evidence in court, seem to be one where in the years referred to, there was great speed and amounts of activity (perhaps even turmoil and unrest - my guess) in the emotions and psyches of humans in Singapore and around the world. I'm referring to everyone who was mentioned from doctors, to patients to ministry of health officers to police officers to vaccine manufacturers and brands to citizens around the country deciding which vaccines to opt for. There were umpteen things happening in a span of days. Now, while some of you may claim that that is understandable during the time of a "pandemic", I would urge you to look at your lives, just as I look at mine, and ask yourselves, "Pandemic or not, World War 10 or not, where, can, I, slow, down?"
Have a lovely week ahead.
Love,
Zephyr
