So for Week 7, as shown in the picture, I did manage to hit my goal, and I even caught up for last week’s steps.

I now have an average of over 8,000 steps a day since the start of the year.

Week 7: What the Numbers Look Like

• Thursday: 8,146

• Friday: 13,364

• Saturday: 4,884

• Sunday: 8,150

• Monday: 6,232

• Tuesday: 11,631

• Wednesday: 6,733

That brings the 7-day average to 8,448, keeping the year-to-date daily average above the 8,000 mark.

Momentum Over Perfection

Consistency compounds over time. A single missed week doesn’t break momentum if the broader trend remains intact.

Week 7 was about regaining rhythm and strengthening the year-to-date baseline.

Bigger Picture Thinking

Zooming out reduces emotional reactions to short-term fluctuations.

The yearly average matters more than any single week.
