On August 29, 2025, the Iris Koh and Jipson Quah trial revealed unexpected courtroom testimony. In this post, I share my reflections on what unfolded that day. 

In this video I cover:

• My first-hand experience attending the Singapore court proceedings on August 29, 2025

• The witness explaining why parts of his earlier police and MOH statements were not fully tallying and were actually quite different at some parts, to what he said in court under oath, with regards to apparently the same events

• The witness' descriptions of his interactions with the Singapore Police Force

• That the witness alleges that the Singapore Police Force went into his home without a warrant

• The witness not being able to verify the name of the person who took his MOH statement, as stated on the MOH statement, as the recorder of the statement

• My personal reflections on the broader meaning of these events for Singapore and beyond
