You've started editing your video in iMovie, and you're realising that in long video edits, when you get to about the 20-minute mark after cutting and editing every 2 sentences, that suddenly, the audio and video doesn't line up, and the audio and video are out of sync in iMovie. The words coming out of the speaker's mouth are coming earlier or later than the speakers face.

This is what we call "audio drift" or "audio drifting". 

In the above video, I explain step by step, how you can fix it. It's a short 7-minute video and will be well worth your time.

It is a simple process of right clicking the audio file, selecting "Show Speed Editor" and then dragging with a circular button that becomes visible, till the length of the audio file matches the length of the video. There are more details in the video you might not want to miss but that's the gist of it.
