A Good Reason To Go To Work
I asked myself the other day, why at this new job of mine, I don't feel stressed like I used to in previous jobs, where I felt a feeling like I was "trapped".
It came to me, that it's because of the reason I go to work here.
The reason I go to work here is not because I feel that my "boss" will "fire" me if I don't. I don't give a shit if I'm fired. Really. The reason I'm going to work at this company, currently, is because I'm excited about what we are building. It's a "pulling" sort of reason, rather than a "pushing" sort of reason.
For me, this was a revelation and a game changer. This is how everyone who isn't feeling this level of peace, should feel, when they go to work. I think most humans would immediately uplift their mood and life if this was the case and happened to/with them as well.
So much so that I now feel it's a guideline for me to live by. I'm thinking... it'll probably be great for you too.
And so I've come out with this:
A good reason to go to work is not because your "boss" will "fire" you if you don't. A good reason to go to work is because you are excited about what you are building together.
